Alexandrea Schmidt, CMT

15 Years of Fascia-Focused Bodywork for Function and Performance

Alex is a masterful clinical massage therapist and a true gift to the Bay Area’s movement, athletic, and performance community. With over 15 years of experience, she brings a rare combination of skilled hands, deep body knowledge, and a passion for helping people move and feel better. Her vibrant presence is contagious—Alex inspires those around her and brings out their highest potential, both in mind and body.

Alex’s bodywork excels at pinpointing and releasing fascial and muscular tension that interferes with performance or causes pain. Her hands-on approach restores mobility, unwinds restricted tissue, and brings balance to the body. Patients often leave her sessions moving with greater ease, strength, and coordination.

Beyond her hands-on work, Alex brings a strategic lens to performance and recovery. She collaborates closely with patients and care teams to uncover the habits, patterns, and blind spots that may be limiting progress—designing thoughtful, individualized plans that align with each person’s goals, lifestyle, and capacity for change.

Outside of her practice, Alex is a devoted mom, an avid cyclist and skier, and a lifelong student of Pilates and movement. She also finds joy in dance and weightlifting, continuing to explore the body’s potential from the inside out.
