A Northern California native, Dr. Akasia Nelson’s passion for human physiology and movement led her to specialize in needle therapies for sports medicine. She holds a B.S. in Human Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture with a focus on Integrative Pain Management from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Dr. Nelson’s commitment to athletic care is evident in her advanced training, including completion of the Acupuncture Sports Medicine Training series and certification in Myofascial Trigger Point Acupuncture & Dry Needling.
With extensive experience treating both professional and recreational athletes, Dr. Nelson has honed her skills in Boston, working with high-level runners during marathon training.
